CMYK UV HS offset ink delivers vibrant weatherresistant prints on sheetfed cardboard film and PET substrates.
Formulated with soybased chemistry for low odor high concentration and ecofriendly performance.
UVproof formulation ensures longlasting color fidelity and resistance to fading under sunlight exposure.
Engineered for highspeed sheetfed offset presses with excellent transfer gloss and rub resistance.
Compatible with diverse substrates including coated/uncoated cardboard synthetic films and PET-ideal for premium packaging.
FORDIA UV-HS is a high color concentration UV offset ink series developed for premium paper and paperboard printing. Its strong pigmentation enables target density to be reached with a thinner ink film, supporting sharp dots, clean overprints and efficient ink consumption on suitable UV offset presses.
Recommended applications: Premium cartons, commercial print, labels, brochures, book covers and other high-quality sheet-fed UV offset work on coated paper or paperboard. Non-absorbent stocks require prior compatibility testing.
Recommended substrates: Coated paper, art paper, coated board, metallized paper with approved primer (trial required)
Recommended equipment: Sheet-fed UV offset presses; conventional mercury UV or compatible UV curing configuration
Available colors: Process Yellow, Process Magenta, Process Cyan, Process Black; spot colors available on request

Data status: Values below are typical production values, not release specifications or contractual limits. |
| Property | Typical value | Test / condition |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | High-viscosity paste ink | Visual |
| Fineness | ≤ 5 µm | Grind gauge |
| Tack | 12-16 | Inkometer, 32°C, 400 rpm, 1 min |
| Viscosity | 90-140 Pa·s | Cone/plate or equivalent, 25°C |
| Typical cure dose | 100-200 mJ/cm² | At the ink surface; verify on press |
| Rub resistance | Good to excellent after full cure | Dry rub, substrate dependent |
| Shelf life | 12 months | Unopened original container, recommended storage |
| Process color | Typical solid density* | Lightfastness (Blue Wool)* |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | 1.20-1.35 | 3-5 |
| Magenta | 1.40-1.55 | 4-5 |
| Cyan | 1.50-1.65 | 7-8 |
| Black | 1.65-1.85 | 7-8 |
*Density: coated stock, Status T measurement. Lightfastness is pigment/shade dependent and indicative only.
| Control point | Recommended starting guidance |
|---|---|
| Ink film | Use the minimum film needed to reach target density; avoid excessive film weight. |
| Dampening | Run the lowest stable water setting. Keep fountain solution clean and within press-maker specifications. |
| Curing | Confirm cure with a rub, scratch and tape test. Increase dose or reduce speed when heavy coverage is used. |
| Pile/finishing | Allow the printed stack to cool before cutting, folding, laminating or foil stamping. |
|
Series-specific note: Density and lightfastness values are shade, substrate and measurement-condition dependent. Where high lightfastness is critical, specify the requirement before color matching. |
